The WALT DISNEY BIRTHPLACE HOME PRESENTS

BUILDING A DREAM

A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO GO Inside Walt Disney’s Storybook Home

The power of a dream...

The power of a dream is undeniable, and nowhere was that truer than in the homes where Walt Disney imagined, created, and built his extraordinary legacy. From his birthplace in Chicago, where the first spark of inspiration was lit, to his private Storybook home in Los Feliz, where his dreams took shape, these places stand as testaments to the magic of imagination.

For one extraordinary weekend, August 22-23, 2025 Walt Disney’s Storybook Woking Way estate will open its doors for an exclusive philanthropic event, inviting guests into the very space where he lived, dreamed, and crafted the stories that continue to inspire generations.

History of the Home

Step Inside Walt Disney's Home

In 1932, Walt and Lillian Disney built their home at 4053 Woking Way in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, where they raised their daughters and built a family life. They lived there until 1950, when they moved to Carolwood Drive.

The 6,300-square-foot home originally sat on nearly 1.5 acres. A few years in, Walt converted a bedroom into a private screening room to view studio dailies, which also became a gathering spot for friends and family to watch the latest films.

A Dream From Dad

Snow White-Style Playhouse

This house witnessed it all…the laughter of his growing daughters, the creation of some of his most beloved films, and unforgettable evenings with Hollywood’s elite.

On your guided tour, you’ll explore the estate inside and out, from Walt’s personal screening room to the enchanting Seven Dwarfs Cottage tucked away in the backyard.
